First Graphene Ltd has announced that they will be the exclusive supplier of formulated graphene products for the 2nd Edition of the Graphene Hackathon 2020, which is due to take place in the Manchester Science Park later this year.
First Graphene have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with the event organisers, Graphene Hackathon Ltd, and will supply a range of conductive inks and 3D printable filament based upon PureGRAPH® graphene technology. The products are currently in development in partnership with the Graphene Engineering and Innovation Centre (GEIC). These high performing products will enable teams to power their innovative ideas with flexible printed electronics and bespoke 3D circuits.
The Hackathon, which takes place over a 24-hour period, will see multidisciplinary teams come together to design, prototype and pitch innovative products which will incorporate the formulated PureGRAPH® products. In this period, the teams will have access to a wide range of processing equipment as well as access to business, technical and intellectual property specialists to provide support. The event is scheduled to take place in October 2020 subject to lifting of COVID-19 restrictions.
First Graphene Ltd are a Tier 1 Partner at the GEIC based at the University of Manchester and have recently completed a successful project with their Printed Electronics Team to develop a range of conductive inks.
